Disappointingly, there was a sign on the door stating that the gym was closed for the day due to the Leader having a personal day.
Chase could not believe his luck. Two of the first three gyms he visited were closed. After the frustration of meeting Delilah the day before, and all the preparation he'd done for that day, he was furious. He began to stomp around the door of the gym, cursing and yelling at the building, the sky, anything.
A kid was walking past and saw the commotion, so he stepped over to Chase and tugged on his shirt. Chase stopped stomping when he felt the tug. He looked around and saw the kid staring up at him. He composed himself and asked what the child wanted.
"If you're here for Misty, I know where she is," the boy said.
"Really! Where? Is it close?
Perennial (Pokemon X)He wondered if anyone would ever find him.Perennial (Pokemon X) by DecepticonFlamewar
The pain was terrifying and miserable, but to say that it was unbearable was hyperbolic at best. After all, he bore it. That wasn’t to say he had been entirely successful: he had faded in and out of consciousness many a time in the first few weeks. Even now, sleep occasionally dampened the pain. Sadly, for the most part, he had no escape: his plans for an eternally beautiful world had given way to eternal misery.
He wondered if anyone ever thought of him; surely the constantly shifting debris that had rained down on him in those last moments would draw the attention of those few who still lived in town, as they drew his. Surely he lived in infamy to the residents of Geosenge town, if not the remainders of Team Flare and of the world as a whole. Surely Augustine thought of him, and by now had found the letter in Café Lysandre offering pass codes to the bunker. He reassured himself of it all, but as the pain undulated toward robbing h

Chase, with Nidoran by his side, exploded from the cave, running as fast as they could. Following close behind them, a swarm of Zubat flooded out of he cave like water from a firehose. Thousands of Zubat chased him out of the cave, blocking out the sun in the process. After circling the skies for a few seconds the Zubat poured into to the cave as quickly as they emerged.
Chase continued to run until one of the onlookers informed him that the Zubat had gone. He turned around to look, and laughed maniacally.
"Ha! I win! You couldn't beat us! We're the best team ever! Right Nidoran!?" Nidoran was still panting from the running, so he nodded in agreement. Chase laughed again as he fell to the ground. He lifted his closed hand closer to his face to marvel at the treasure he had unc

Lucas clicked the 'playback' switch off. His thumb grazed where 'Property of Sailor Eldrich' had been written on the plastic battery door, sending a chill down his spine. Gathering his courage, he walked ahead. "Darkrai…" he whispered to himself. "Darkrai... Darkrai..."
A whine resounded in the hall, one that the old wooden structure didn't cause. The tarp walls made tattering sounds in the wind and rocked the floating floor gently.
Stopping to squint in the dark, Lucas couldn't see where the noise had come from. Only little breaks in the connected tarp let brief streams of light inside. The low light levels reflected minutely on the wet tarp walls, indicating more halls down the stretch Lucas faced.
Lucas set his backpack on the floor. His eyes watched carefully as he kneeled down, in case the plywood platform rocked suddenly under his own weight. Once down, he unzipped a small pouch on it, replacing a folded paper with the recorder. He then slid his arms thr
